Bentiu-Rubkona area

Bentiu-Rubkona area: as result of fighting between the SSUM forces of Paulino Matiep and SSIM forces of Tito Biel Chor and James Leah an indeterminate number of civilians residing in these communities were either killed or wounded and civilian property was destroyed. The first day of fighting, 22 June, happened near Rubkona with the SSIM from Rubkona attacking the village of Thoan, driving off the SSUM forces there.
