The GoS forces entered the town and secured a defensive perimeter around it. Many civilians were killed or wounded in the attack. Others were killed between 4 and 7 pm incl the sick, invalid, elderly, pregnant females and small children. Houses, water wells, churches, gov buildings and the market area were destroyed. Soldiers and civilians claim that chemical weapons were used by the GoS.
