Nhialdiu

GoS attack. led by Colonel Bakhit Elwia, using a reinforced armored brigade supported by artillery, MI-24 Hind helicopter gun-ships and AN-32 bombers. Two armored columns and 20+ T-55 main battle tanks and APC´s supported by infantry. The T55 tanks were used to capture Nhialdiu and threaten the villages just south of Bentiu. Homes were burned to the ground, crops were destroyed and possessions
were stolen. Women were abducted, probably raped, and children were abducted. Others died on the long trek to safety.
