Near Bentiu

Soldiers of the Southern Sudan Defense Force, guarding the oil concessions of a Chinese firm near Bentiu, fight each other for ten days, killing 38, following the election of Taban Deng Gai as Governor of Unity State. Fighting took place between his supporters and those of Paul Lilli, the defeated candidate.
